I guess it's a little bit hard to call myself a newbie, although I've spent all of my time in the QF section - until now. Anyway, life is changing, and instead of running in and between Australia and Asia, it looks like I'll soon be heading for more pastures rather than more tarmacs. Flying patterns would probably be once or twice AU east coast - SIN and a few AU dom flights every year. Although I would have my +1 with me on all flights.
Hence my question here about status earnings and family pooling. Say if I fly SQ full fare (eligible booking classes) economy SYD/MEL-SIN return twice a year, that would be 240 SC per person (being 60 one-way, x2 for return, then x2 for 2 trips). With family pooling, does that mean they can be combined so 1 person would have 480 SC? And with the minimum eligible flights, would each person need to fly it himself/herself, or can they be pooled as well?
