I am currently looking at my future travel options, as I travel approx 4-10 times pa DRW-CAN (Guangzhou).

Completely forgot that Malaysia flys in Darwin and has today opened my eyes to a new world.

As I dropped to QF SG this year, I thought I would take the opportunity to requal for WP, as the status would be handy for China/Singapore/NZ travels (Flounging).

I have searched flights and have come across 2x options for J travel (paid).

The points earn wont be fantastic, but you should get J SC's

Yeah, less than 1 point per mile between Australia and Malaysia. However I believe SC's are based off the same table as QF, but I may be wrong there.

You are not wrong.

If SC are to be earned, they are based on class and distance zones of the eligible flight, no matter what the carrier and irrespective of the level redeemable points earn.

Serfty, could you suggest a more creative option for flying DRW to CAN in paid J or the like that would assist with SC earn?
