Ironic, as it's technically a domestic flight too from French Polynesia- Faaa Airport (Papeete) to Paris. I believe that they were looking to stop in YVR when LAX was withdrawn as an option... Looks like due to the corona virus controls, implemented by Canada and the USA, they are now flying with no intermediate stop.

They are looking at a stop in the French Caribbean, like SXM. The non stop is only temporary while they sort out where they can stop.

I believe they are going to stop over in PTP (Point-à Pitre, Guadeloupe) for the time being acording to this article.
 
If I can get there I would love to take this flight but take a stop over in Guadaloupe.
