New Woolworths Rewards App

Nice to finally have both a flybuys and woolworths app for activating offers.

I suppose, another week of lame specials from Woolworths who really seem to be struggling still with their supply chain - Coles stomped all over them in the last quarter really exposing their operations ability to manage. I don’t like either of the big chains but at least Coles has better range of specials as they are managing their stock levels better.

I got the 3000 points for activating the in app offer yesterday - guess I’m in the “marketable” category. I can’t see them offering everyone 3000 points simply for downloading the app. As it’s in the App Store now anyone can download it. That will do for some Status Credits when they convert to Qantas points this month

I like the app - good to be able to see what the current offers are in one place plus have access to points balance/transactions and receipts for recent purchases. To be fair it’s pretty much the functionality in the Fly Buys app although they don’t have the receipts

The biggest problem I've found with Everyday Rewards / Woolworths Rewards is the offers that you do get only come through via email, and no way on logging into their website to check what offers are current (like Flybuys). If this app fixes that, that would be a good thing

Jus downloading via email, looks like you have to open up the app and scroll down to where it mentions the 3000 points - and activate. Then got message points posted within 3 days.

For those who are not employees that have been getting the 3000 points offer for installing the app, does anyone know if this is targeted?

Well, we didn't get an email for any of our accounts, so presuming it is targeted.

Well this confirms it, downloaded the app and scroll down and no offer of 3000 points anywhere on the app.

Supply chain or not, the specials/offers for points really come down to what you actually are willing to go out of your way to buy and what value you place on the points you earn. If I had 5 kids and flew Virgin Australia then perhaps shopping exclusively at Coles and earning points to transfer plus status credits would have made sense to me, but I've been mainly a Qantas flyer, and only have 2 dogs (who I get their food from a pet store and Aldi), so the specials I get from Woolworths work better for me, supply chain or not, as the Qantas points ultimately are my currency. That said, I really do shop around these days and even visit my local Spar.

This seems to fix that and I am going to enjoy using both apps and comparing easier now.

got the invitation email earlier today.
Read it on my phone, so just clicked the "download now" link so did not need to search the playstore.
After doing the verification tango, found the 3000 points "redeem now" button, and bingo.

Will be interesting to see what other value it provides, and if I was paranoid I would be wondering if Woolies is interacting with google to work out where I might go next.
If they are reading this, it is the nearest Maserati dealer ...

(pity we don't get QFF points for the Covid app... )

Decided to log into Woolworths Rewards App on all the accounts. Not one of them had the 3k offer.

One annoyance, the 2FA wasn't working for any of the logins, so used password instead. 15 mins later a flood of text messages come through. 2FA is such a pain when there is a delay and your sitting there not knowing if it is going to be 5 seconds, 55 seconds or 15 minutes.
