New Skywards account need to buy miles

I have a flight on September 19 which is 3 legs. Mexico City -> Barcelona -> Dubai -> Melbourne.

I cant upgrade using cash for some reason just because the Dubai to Melbourne flight is full? So I want to upgrade with Skyward miles, but again since i have a zero balance I cannot BUY any.

For someone wanting to upgrade to business they really made it difficult...

My question is how can I get some initial miles in my account in the next 10 days to make myself eligible to purchase miles? I would consider purchasing from a member here the minimum miles I need to be able to buy miles from Emirates if that's an option.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
