New Qantas promos including double status credits (book by 3/9/25; travel 4/9/25 until 22/8/26)

maybe tomorrow hopefully!~
I suspect not until Qantas release their half year results next week at the earliest.

Would not surprise me if they dump a bunch of classic reward seats though. Noticed in the past few weeks a lot of economy reward seats on QF metal have disappeared to and from Europe that previously excited earlier this on most days either side of August when researching flights these past few weeks.

The AFR has a line in a story today that Qantas is widely expected to "unveil a double status credits promotion with its half-yearly results on Thursday".

Looks like VA have announced a status promo - bonus status tied to number of sectors. Wonder if this is an attempt to get in before QF and steal a few bookings.

I booked a QF/WY/WY via Oman Air website return during this DSC promotion
Despite not adding my QF number during the promo (couldnt work out how to at time with WY not recognising QF as a FF partner then*) the DSCs for the outbound QF leg posted fine two days after flying

*I worked out later I could have done using the associated QF PNR

Hi, Anyone have any thoughts about a timeline for the next double Credits/points promo?
Historically it's only run once or twice a year, usually around Feb/Mar and (sometimes) October.

This year they've already had two - in Feb and May. Would be surprised to see another one before at least October but with the current geopolitical situation / high airfares potentially depressing travel demand, you never know.

Ok good info I must have sleepwalked through the May offer, completely missed it lol
After the Business class sale ends next week?
Hope so

Ah thanks, now I remember, didn’t take much notice as I’m normally looking for Asia

The last leg of my last booking for this promo despite being a revenue booking has credited as a classic plus reward (I have Points Club Plus). Certainly affects my calculations if this happens again with a similar screening from the next promo after this. Might have to bring forward some further travel plans.

This seems like a common error on the last few weeks. Call and get it fixed.

Will call during the week. A friend had both legs of his outbound trip on another day credit as Classic Plus again having done a revenue booking.

I am currently on 698 SCs just awaiting my final DSCs which should land tomorrow and tip me over to GOLD again after a long time at Silver... We did a joy ride up to MCY from Hobart to give me the status before my year end 31 August. Interesting that on way up via SYD, you get 10 and 10 SC and 800 and 800 points. Qantas moved us on way home to via MEL which results in 15 and 10 SC and 1313 and 800 points!

The first lot of doubles was allocated 2 days after the flights.

Now I am ready for those CX lounges in September and October.

Got my standard SCs and points. Now to wait and see if the screening has the expected ending.
So my DSC came through for the incorrect classic plus for one of the legs. Not to worried about this for one leg, but maybe if it happens again I’ll wait till after the DSC posts before calling.
