They should occur at the same time - any chance you had bet on the loyalty bonus from a few months ago counting towards LT status in your tally, because that one certainly didn't

Thanks for the replies...the DSC was using the March 25 promo... I am aware the "thank you" SC don't count and I haven't added an LB...will check again tomorrow :-)

I ran out of DSC options for one pax (for a single trip, i.e. a little status run to flick me over the renewal threshold). If you happen to know a way forward, I'd appreciate a note in direct messages, please.

I searchd this thread but could not find an answer. Sorry in advance if I am getting confused.
I have a DSC booked for Sunshine Coast and now need to change both dates and destination to Auckland. For what I see my only way to do it is to cancel for a voucher and make a new booking.
Question then: will it change the PNR and therefore I will not get DSC on the new booking?
I think yes but unsure, so I would rather check here before actioning it.
thanks for the help

Call up for this change so that you can retain the booking and eligibility for DSC - you shouldn’t be charged for the service fee as it can’t be done online, but you will still need to pay the change fee and fare difference based on fare conditions

Cheers,
Matt

Great. Thanks so much for you help Matt. Much appreciated.

Is this a new thing - ie if I book via the “use a credit/voucher” tool it will create a new PNR, so I *must* call in?
I don’t know if it is new but yes it changes the PNR. I got caught last year and wanted to check here how to do it. Thanks Matt for the advice. I called and the QF person on the phone was telling wondering what I wanted to maintain the PNR and not just cancel for a voucher. It took a while as she was also arguing that I will loose the DSC as out of travel period. She got very confused with the 2 DSC campaigns. The one early in 2025 and this one. After 40mn on the phone and sharing files (I kept all the QF emails I received) she finally confirmed that the DSC will apply and she then agreed to maintain the same PNR on my new booking.
It was a pain but definitely worth it.

Just to clarify, if you have a flex ticket and need to make a change, if you DIY cancel more than 24hrs later to a flight credit, the same PNR will be retained. A new DIY booking using that credit will also retain the same PNR.

No need to call in that scenario.

No - that should still work; I was probably thinking more about making a change to the existing booking as an easier way and ensure it plays out as intended, but then I say that as a WP who doesn’t need to wait for assistance when I call up! Mightn’t be the most efficient way for all
