Does anyone know if SIN -> PER -> ADL will earn double SCs on the whole leg? Or only the SIN -> PER component?

thanks,
tofe

I got it this afternoon, amazingly it manages to fall into a singapore trip I need to make in Feb. Even better the return J (well discounted business) was $4.2k return (great price for qantas). That worked out really well, which is a rarity.

Interesting I got the AU/NZ offer the other day and booked a flight based on that. Given they have gotten money from me on both offers, I wonder if they'll keep sending them, from their perspective it is working.

With regard to routing, say I book HKG - SYD in J, does that still qualify for the DSC offer assuming that bookings and flights fall within the promotion times?

That will teach me not to book in advance... I have 2 trips already booked to SCL/GRU and to the USA.

The one to SCL/GRU was a classic award (86000 points plus $415). So I've just cancelled it, got 81000 points back and booked an Any Seat Award for 36000 points plus $685 to SCL, and a partner award from SCL to GRU for 20000 points plus $90ish (all on economy)... I've lost 5k for the cancellation fee, but I'll make 15710 points plus 140 SC. I'll get the $415 back, so the final cash cost will be $360.

I'm not sure I'll do the same for the trip to the USA, which I've paid in cash....

I received the offer as well, but probably won't use it. I will requalify for Gold this year with travel already booked, but am a long way off Platinum even with DSC offer, so not really sure why I was targetted

Received it here but no good for any of my flying, it it had of included MEL-LAX in J I would have been upset as I just booked that last week

Like most here.. received it too.. but can not see if I will use it as too short to plan a long-haul trip.. and avail this "promotion"

My +1 and i got this RUBBISH offer IMHO...short period to book, limited dates, destinations and restricted cabin class:shock:....it will take more than this QF to fill those empty seats!

Nice to see people angry with a DSC promo for reasons not related to those who got it / didn't get it. :)

Sent from my GT-I9300 using AustFreqFly

Got it too. 590 SC off WP, but nothing in the offer is going to get me there for a reasonable number of points.
Shame, as I had my fingers crossed for a DSC offer, so we could use the First lounge on our honeymoon.
Fingers crossed for another that includes domestic travel later in the year =)

Tell us how you really feel kpc ! :D

BTW I got it too and feel exactly the same way

Whats the bet the next sale commences 3 Nov.
I hope you are right. Patiently waiting for next sale to make a decision.

Did you want to spend more money? :p

I also got the offer, very excited till I read the dates! Not really in a position to book anything at the moment, so this one may have to get a miss :(

QF81 flys SYD-xADL-SIN. I wonder if SYD-ADL would be considered between SYD and SIN on that flight?

 :D

SYD LON still counts even though it stops in SIN

but to stay on topics as not to garner attention from the thought police, am sitting in SIN lounge and once more it is packed with people needing to stand, only gives credence to the arguments go stopping these SC offers or separating out the wheat from the chaff.

^^this. Not particularly impressed, cartainly can't book something within a week, even if I were interested in any of those destinations!

QF have been doing a lot of DSC offers over the past year or so.

I don't disagree with you and I am always flamed on these threads for having a different opinion to the pack.

In my opinion double SCs offers should be there as a reward for regular flying. I was going to say loyal but then people question the definition of loyalty....
