What are everyone's thoughts?

My own: If it ain't broke.....

Bit of a shame that Seat Selection still requires all flights to be selected in a single process! #firstworldproblems

I haven't looked, but for the last year or so seat selection for one or more segments was able to be skipped by clicking on "Skip" rather than "Next".

Too much scrolling on a Windows desktop machine. Before it was all nice and compact. Now I'm scrolling and scrolling.
I thought the trend was to 'compact' things to create simplicity.

Horrible absolutely horrid. Too much to go through way too big not user friendly at all IMHO.

It was nice and simple before a good quick summary of flights with out all this busyness.

HORRID

You can still skip through seat selection once you hot change and only change one of the flights so this hasn't changed

Tried the upgrade to Luxury with the use points to upgrade tab with in the new MMB and guess what that doesn't work same as the old one I checked and seats are available for upgrades just cant do it online still GRRRRRR

Instead of stuffing around with layouts that IMHO opinion offer no advantage why not fix the damn things that don't work and have been known not to work for quite some time.....

Nah ...IT salesmen have sold to companies that websites should be more easily viewable in tablets and smart phones.

Just a few flicks to scroll on those things - shame it does not work on most desk tops.

Firstly. That's [less than ideal]!

Easy to break if you do change seats and then click the back button to go back to the booking.

Firmly in the category of someone needing to be taken out and shot.

I thought it was "skip" to skip and "next" to confirm..... anyway, goes off to look at the new format.....

Totally agree. It is AWFUL!!! So much wasted white space, just awful. Why o why do QF waste time and money messing around with formatting when they can't even get the web site working in the way it is supposed to or fix up all the conflicting information on the web site.

Once again the iPod generation 5 year old idiots are at it again. This obsession with tablet friendly formatting for all is ruining the web!

Very cluttered.

I love the simplicity of classic check my trip by Amadeus.

I don't want to be bombarded by other information - just give me my flights - process my upgrades and look after me on board please.

But Qantas want you to be bombarded with upsell opportunity. How else are they going to erase that deficit? ... :p

Having a look at the construction I'm considering writing a GM script to put summary info at the top (maybe along with seat selection buttons).

One hideous change has been to remove the seats selected from beside the actual segments.

HATE it. One more thing that confirms Qantaspeak as oxymoronic : "Simpler" is the new "enhancement"!

to add to all the negative comments, it's messy, non-intuitive, doesn't show booking class! Might not matter if you only have one flight, but some of us have multiple bookings in the system (mostly made before the "Simplification")

Doesn't look that great on an iPad either. Too much additional "stuff" that doesn't need to be there.

Awful. And now for some reason it won't let me OLCI.

What a pointless waste of time, cost and effort on the part of Qantas.

Agree, it's pretty horrid, cluttered, hard to know where a section starts and ends. Sometimes you gotta wonder why if something wasn't broken why did they 'fix' it? the old MMB was one of the advantages of QF's site over any other airlines.

Also I am all for optimising screen layout/new designs.etc for the device on which it is used on, but in QF's case its either bad design or bad programming, most well designed sites actually have detection of browser/device built into the page and gives the user an appropriate style, eg. for mobile, tablet or PC. A good example of this is news sites, they display differently depending on what device I use to access it.

QF's approach seems to be that people don't use PC's anymore and only use tablets, and as such ram tablet layout down our throats! :D

Please QF take this feedback on board, I'm all for new designs, but don't make it harder for people to book/perform other actions because of the device they happen to use.

One thing which I have also found is that none of the bookings show the flight number. That is ridiculous !!!
This is one of the first things the CSR asks for (after the booking ref) when ringing for any issues/changes etc.
Qantas I.T need to fix this ASAP !

Seems the new summary page only shows the seat selected for the first segment in a booking. Hopefully that was a mistake by some numpty who has NFI.

It can also gives me a note to check my platinum checked baggage allowance, but shows the basic baggage allowance. If it can recognise that I'm platinum why not just put up the platinum allowance? Perhaps that's too simple!

It seems that who ever came up with this cough has never flown in their life. Why not do some research with people who actually had to use this stuff? Qantas doesn't like comments about the stupidity of their people, but they sure keep doing stupid things.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Well at least they have considered navigation.

It is not obvious from looking, but the top left box has imbedded shortcuts/hotlink to information within the page.

The Links no longer look like buttons or have any indication that are actually navigation links - I discovered it when reviewing the page source:

It does show the flight number, fare bucket, all segments, etc. You may need to click the flight details box for each segment.

Oh man, some people will find an excuse to whinge about anything!

Obviously in the minority, but I think it looks tidy and has a logical flow. Are y'all still mad over Simplification Day or something?

Correct me Please if wrong

On the OLD MMB page one could put in special requests such as food etc. Where on this NEW MMB can one do this?

OK Found it you have to click on EDIT under Passenger details it then takes you to the old requests page. Well Hidden Qantas

SIMPLER AND FAIRER NOT
