I'm pretty sure we got the new service on the flight I took from HKG to MEL arriving yesterday morning. Forgive me for the sketchy details, this was the last leg of flights back from Europe and I was pretty tired by that stage but I did notice a change with the sleeping arrangements ie it seemed like a new and quite nice doona, better and more substantial pillow (although a bit too firm for me) and a mattress pad very similar to the one that QF offer.
Also, the dinner service seems to have changed to be a bit more like QF. ie individually serving each passenger and not a trolley service. I must say the food was very good but they were also VERY slow to take the orders and so it was at about 2.5 hours after take off until I got my dinner, too long for my liking. One of the things I always liked about CX J over QF J was the fact that they were efficient with their meal services but it seems like moving to this new system is making them as slow as QF often are in J. I know some people value the food quality and service level as more important but for me, I just like tasty food served quickly so that I can sleep or whatever else I want to do.
