Was at Brisbane international this morning.

The Plaza Premium Lounge was a joke with not enough seats. I then went searching around gate 77 (the supposed location of the new lounge) to see what I could find...
I recently went to the Plaza Premium Lounge but it was in the afternoon. Hardly anyone there. It was great. Very peaceful and the staff were really friendly. A most enjoyable experience.

Some for me too.

Plaza Premium has always been good to me for space and staff.

That was my experience too on a different airline earlier this year. Plaza Premium‘s lounge is ok (but too small for numbers that enter), food is average and drinks limited. But problem is too many airlines use it and people also purchase access so it is like a zoo. If that’s what’s on offer I’d rather a voucher for use in the terminal.

Yup it's pretty pathetic. I have an international flight via BNE in early July which I optimistically rated as a 50/50 chance of it being up by then. Now its looking more like a 100 to 1 shot :(

Given the comments above, I have decided to utilise our family of eight's one-time access in the Sydney Lounge before our connecting flight to Brisbane - as I believe we are better placed to enjoy ourselves there than BNE's My Lounge. We'll just hang around the departure gate at Brisbane and people watch.

I asked my friend to check out the BNE lounge this morning...

That's progress... last month same spot didn't have part of the hoarding missing and didn't have that opening soon promo stuck on it.

This would make those in Hobart waiting for the Virgin Hobart lounge jealous.

Sitting in the plaza premium lounge in Brisbane right now. Talk about small and crampt, the seating is very poorly arranged feels like sitting in a cubicle but with a stranger right next to you in an adjoining cubicle lol. Haven't checked out the food/drink situation as yet though

Only about 10 months late!!!

Gee I hope so. Flying BNE - CHC in late Sept and if this one isn't open, it might be better to visit the domestic lounge on arrival from Syd, rather than chance the Plaza lounge that is reportedly rubbish.

I was in the Premium Plaza Lounge in BNE on 6th July 2019. I arrived after 3.00pm and the lounge only had about 10 people in it. The airport itself was really quiet! Eventually the lounge was maybe half full. The drink service was good but the food was mediocre. Initially there were Arancini balls, Beef Ragu, Thai Green Curry, and Steamed Rice. Arancini balls were average and the beef ragu had olive oil dripping out of it, though it tasted alright.

Later on the menu was changed to contain some chicken dish which I cant remember and Fish&Chips. There was also some cold food and cheese.

Fair enough, we arrive at 4:30pm so maybe it;ll be ok.

My visit was later at night before 1030pm flight. At that time both BR and CI are directing their customers there plus such other late night departures that don’t have arrangements with other lounges open at that time (As *A member I wish the Air NZ lounge was still open at that time). I regret not seeking out the SQ lounge as I was flying J on BR so I probably would have been able to access it.
