:: The Playlist ::: Flirting: Clooney Meets Farmiga In 'Up In The Air' Clip
So Jason Reitman's "Up In The Air" dramedy is all the rage these days, right? Gonna sweep up the Oscars, with a Best Picture, Best Actor and Best director nominations? By the sounds of the buzz, it could be.

Apple Trailers has debuted a clip from the film, where the single and perennially unattached George Clooney first meets his match in the film — the equally shallow, air-miles happy and unavailable Vera Farmiga. Both of them are constant travellers, frequent-flyer obsessed and hotel/travel snobs. Their banter in the script is rich, delicious and a witty, clever flirtation repartee. ...

Looks interesting, maybe a little too much card talk in that preview though. They might want to put out another preview if they want ordinary people to understand what they're talking about.

Seems like George Clooney's career isn't going that well.

Well it will be fun to watch I guess.

I don't know why you say that, he does have a Concierge Key ;)

Oh wow, I didn't know they existed <lols>

Aaah yes, I'm waiting for the random comments from friends who know I'm a frequent flying nut (and they say that in such a nice way) after they hear about the movie and correlate his character to me.

If they compare George Clooney to you then I'd think you should be flattered ;)

Saw the trailer for this - looks great. Jason Reitman's track record is pretty solid (Thank You for Smoking and Juno), and this looks to be as good.

As for Clooney, well I have a lot of time for him too - and this movie looks perfect for him. Seeing him brandish the Admiral's Club card was pretty amusing.

As an aside, the producers must have hooked up a decent product placement deal with AA, they are all over this movie - even so far as to advertising the existence of the Concierge Key. Wonder how many AAdvantage signups they'll get as a result. ;)

Is there another preview that shows more, because even though Concierge Key was mentioned in this preview, it might be the only reference. It's apparently based on a book (I don't read much) so I'd expect there to be some real substance to the movie, and that scene just illustrates they're frequent flyers and has the product placement, but that's it.

Long wait anyway, early Jan in Australia.

There is reference to the movie in the Oct AA in flight magazine.

Is that available online, or can someone scan the appropriate page?

Edit: found the reference, links to here. The stupid e-mag nearly crashed my browser twice, pushed my processor to 100% on both cores. POS.
