Cathay Pacific new credit card online booking fee - Australian Business Traveller

I didn't even realise CX even charged a surcharge... I'm sure I've never paid extra to use the CC.

Perhaps it's yet another reason to try and book ex-other markets.

Neither have I (paid a CC fee). As someone points out in the comments section it looks like the fee is only applied to tickets purchased through a travel agent, not direct from the airline.

It actually seems even stranger that CX is charging their own CC fee when the customer is using a TA's payment gateway rather than theirs?

Just to confirm: yes, the CX fee is purely for travel agent bookings.
