New Amex statement credits

Can’t split between family and friends using linked cards ?
Possibly, but not practical for me being a Biz card.

It’s probably on the QBR cards also. Could be of use to some who have multiple card holders and more use of a Shell card!

Nice earner for PC/PC+

Dell - 10% back up to $1000

Would stack well with their semi-regular 10-12% cashback via CR or Shopback.

I got both notifications at the same time but it doesn’t mean anything. With Amex it’s normal for emails to not come after spend yet cashback usually post correctly.

Confirmed both 15% and $75 credit statement received.

I think that's for selected merchants in Adelaide

Yep. Mt Lofty House is a notable inclusion - Platinum members can book preferential rates through either Accor Plus or FHR.

So many hotel offers that I have yet to use, preferably I would go to a place that doesn't have a major chain to use the Qantas hotels offer but $200 off (PC+ voucher + $100 Amex Offer) is a serious discount.

Might forego the elite benefits for a discount this time...

Spend where?
Anywhere, it seems:
"Save the offer to your eligible Card and spend in-person, in-app or online at any American Express accepting business by 14/07/2023 to receive a 20% credit each time, up to AU$100 back in total. Exclusions apply."
On my Explorer but not my husband's Platinum Edge.

Designer Appliances - 15% rebate up to $200

In the lead up to this offer expiring I thought it would be a good idea to mention that this retailer has a price match policy, although unfortunately I had no luck getting them to price match an induction cooktop.

The policy is already particularly strict on requiring a brick and mortar store within 100km of one of their own stores, but I found one 'compliant' retailer in Western Sydney selling an identical stocked model for $988, compared with their $1249.

Their response? That the competitor's price is 'too far below RRP'...

An absurd clause that's angered me enough to write this post in the hopes that others have more luck making use of the price match policy with their own statement credits.

(Off topic but to cap off the story, Good Guys were more than happy to match the same retailer, so I picked up a Good Guys gift card from HCF Thank You for 4% off and purchased item for well below what it would have cost from Designer Appliances after the Amex statement credit!)

Last time Sony didn’t price match I told them I was going to fair trading ,
they smartly matched but I told them I already bought at good guys

Used my card today for an online Catch.com.au purchase and got an email seconds later confirming I had used my "Spend & Get" offer. So yes, spend on anything. Thanks Amex, very generous of you.
