The 5% discount on Ampol GCs is back on again til 3/5/22. It stacks nicely with the current Amex promo. I bought a stack of $100 Ampol GCs at essentially 15% discount which can't be sneezed at with current fuel prices

Has anyone found an Ampol in CBR that is participating?

The cards were not on discount at my local at Kambah and it appears it is "transitioning from Caltex to Ampol". I believe the participating stations must be owned by Ampol - but how is one to know?

Went to purchase a card today and the attendant said he hadn't heard of the offer. I suggested "Then show me a card?". No mention of discount on the back of the card so I walked.

No mention of discount on the back of the card so I walked.

the Ampol gift cards come up with 5% off automatically when they scan, you pay $95 for a $100 card, and then $10 cashback if you have the Amex offer. I have bought $800 worth. Saved 60c a litre today, aka $1.40l compared to $2.00l. That’s 35c difference in stations and 25c with the Amex offer.

Ampol Braddon has $250 and $500 cards only.

I bought a $250. 5% discount was applied.

I was referring to the 5% discount offer on gift cards, not the Amex offer.

There are some gift cards that have the 5% discount shown on the back of the card packaging as per the ozb link, but the only GCs I've seen don't have that and the attendant at Kambah hadn't heard of the 5% offer so just said they're "not on special". I ended up going to a different store and was going to buy 4 x $25 "marked" GCs but first I asked them to scan a $100 "plain" GC. It scanned at $95, which has stacked with the Amex credit.

Note that there's a 3 x 6c/L discount for first-time Ampol app users too - it all helps and nice to score a "triple stack". Still none the wiser which are participating locations, or otherwise.

I get the saltwater mesh sandals from BCF on sale at around $50/pair. The classic crocs are crazy priced - the Amex deal won't go far - and make the wearer look like a dumbass. My wife has Aldi knockoffs and she loves them. Comfy as apparently.
