New Amex statement credits

Hi all,
Pleased to report the successful use of the offer on the purchase of a Visa Gift Card.
$400 was credited back to my PC over night.
29 May purchased a $500 visa gift card In-store at Woolworths. Total cost was $507.95. This earned 2,2xx Amex Points, (but zero Woolworths points)
Over night there’s been a $400 credit applied onto the Amex Card account.
(Visa Gift card subsequently used to pay council rates)
Happy with that.
Woolies sell $500 visa cards ?

Agree, I saw vanilla brand $250 at Coles so bought those to trigger the offer. Have not yet received an email that the offer triggered. Does this happen with this offer? It’s not yet posted, it’s still pending.

My first purchase at WW under this offer didn't trigger an email but was credited after a few days

Hi All.
The card I got from Woolies was an “Only1 Visa Prepaid gift card”. I nominated $500 value at the checkout and paid with AmEx PC.
I’ll add a picture of the gift card packaging.
Spend was on Friday 29 May.
Credit was in the account over night 31-1 June (although the date shown on the credit is 30 May)059E1848-44F8-4206-AC87-6D1C96EDA391.jpeg

The supermarket 2MR bonus point offer is still tracking poorly. Online chat said they were aware and hope to have it reconciled by the end of the promo (31 July)

Is it still a PITA to check their balances?

Just wondering if the rate payment attracts any fee for using Visa Debit? I checked my Council (in NSW) online and noticed a 0.75% fee on Visa/MasterCard. Not sure if it refers to Credit Cards only or Debit Cards as well. I am interested as just last week, I used CreditRewards to pay with my AMEX (via BPAY), and incurred a fee of 1.81% (still much better than 2.42% GST inclusive with B2BPay!)

Thank you in advance for your advice!

BTW, it also took me a few hours to work out what's "PITA" 😁

Hi... took me a moment to work out what PITA means...
for a moment, I thought you were asking about some sort of flat bread!!

anyway, checking the balance took just a moment, went to their website and entered the card number.
spending the whole lot took just a moment too!!
Here I was trying to figure out what to buy at David Jones.... thanks for the tip. Much appreciated

Is CreditRewards just for business too or can everyday punters use it? I have bills to pay and credit card signup conditions to meet. :p

Not sure if this is allowed but I was made aware of Creditrewards service by a fellow AFF, PAG. I have DM him alerting him of your interest. Hope he's able to get in touch with you

The $500 visa card looks perfect for Canberra or state govt charges, anything I am missing here? It's effectively a 1.5% surcharge but you get 4.45% from Amex Platinum card at the moment.

Everyday punters are welcome. I'm one of them, and that's how CreditRewards was born :)

Can you introduce me to this secret society as well? Would be keen to use Amex to pay a few large bills that's coming up.

is AMEX towards the 1.81% mark? if so, not worthwhile for me.
It worked well in my case as Government Charges only attracts 1 (+1 bonus) point at a fee of 1.5% making payment with AMEX (Platinum Charge) on the Council's payment page. Paying 0.31% more gave me 2.5 MR points more under the current promotion. Have to do the calculation again when circumstances change for sure...

Didn't know these existed - good to see this more convenient option. shame they've been blocked from Canberra payments. Picked some up today - wish I'd seen them yesterday instead of buying the Vanilla cards at Coles :)
