New Amex statement credits

Westfield GC is listed, under lifestyle.
Does it have to be at the city? I remember last year it worked at my local Westfield which wasn't the CBD

Which Westfield was that? Last year I only bought the Westfield cards in the city and the narrative on my Amex statement was just 'WESTFIELD SYDNEY'.

Just registered for my charge card in the AMEX portal. Under what category does Westfield GCs appear?

It shows under lifestyle but you must make sure you have selected the 'Sydney' tab at the very top where you select the city as it defaults to Melbourne.

Just looking to use my Luxury Escapes credits before they expire tomorrow. Reading the advice here, it looks like LE may have changed their payment process. They do not seem to have a cart where you can add multiple purchases before checking out. So it doesn't seem possible to buy a $250 gift voucher and then a $50 voucher to make up the $300 minimum. I also tried choosing a holiday first but even that did not trigger a cart. So it seems the only option is to buy the $500 gift card. Any advice?

You can do a $250 and a $50 as two separate purchases and that will trigger the statement credit. The T&Cs for this one are "one or more transactions" so as long as the total hits $300 it will count.

Just checked my previous statement from Parra and they say Westfield Parra so don't think it'll work :(

Took up the Vogue offer tonight in Sydney and can confirm that at both Westfield counters they asked for ID to match the cards
Pitt st was ready with a barrier for people to queue along
Also if you want Coles Myer cards go to the layby counter on the 5th floor
They have then on a stand. There were about 50 left when we were there

Can confirm L5 is the place to go in MYER and most sales assistants are happy to split 1 gc over multiple Amex. No id check at MYER.

I'm guessing there's still a surcharge on the Westfield gift cards though?

Ditto. Level 5 near the Myer Hub...al least 30-40 cards as of 3 pm today. Westfield still insists on seeing ID....so "switcheroo" is the game you play unless you bring along all you supp card holders in person. Not sure how they will treat Apple / Google Pay but last year they refused to accept them!

I was at Myer Melbourne today. Was asked for id which was checked against cards when buying large amounts/split transactions. Then bought a number of single cards at $50 each and no problems. Was interesting to see the different knowledge levels of staff, some were aware of the promo, others had 0 idea about it. All were polite though as would be expected at Myer.
