New Amex statement credits

If you mean the $50 back for $200 spend. No. It's a targeted offer. I got it on about 1/3 of my cards. Have used them but cash back not yet received. Suspect I will have to chase it up.

thanks for the quick reply, thought that may have been the case

Have you (or anyone) received the credits or an email for booking flights? I realise it is against T&C but wondered if it is like most T&C whereby it doesn't matter. My experience in looking to book hotels through Amex Travel is that going direct to hotel or through Expedia, etc saves close to or more than $50/night after rebates.

I booked hotels only. Got emails straight away. As stated, still waiting for the credits. i suspect they are slow to come as it took more than 6 days for the hotel booking to show as an authorised transaction in my AMEX account. Don't know why but AMEX travel seemed to be very slow to process the transaction.

I booked a flight and got the email. Time will tell. Price was about the same as the MH website but a bit more than the dodgy online agents. Still cost me more than BYOJet or whatever but I feel Amex would be a little safer.

All the hotels I looked at were much more expensive on Amex so not worth the $50 saving

It's a billing post code issue in my experience. Check it hasn't wiped your billing address details when you are making the payment.

Problem is, my billing address isn't listed anywhere on my WW Online account - it doesn't come up on the payment page, nor does it appear anywhere on my account details/profile or anywhere else I can find, only delivery addresses are listed (which i don't want to use anyway, as I wanted to do C & C). I contacted WW Online customer service and the CSO had a look at my account - he said the payment issue was probably due to me having my PO Box on the account!! However my PO Box IS my billing address so would have been provided on sign up, so that shouldn't have been an issue when making payment if that address was already there). He replaced that with my physical address, and my DOB was missing as well - which wasn't a required field when I signed up, but there was a message in red text on my account saying "pls contact us to update your DOB" so maybe that was causing a problem ... Who knows? Guess I'll find out when (if?) I try putting in another order.

I know I'm not being much help... but I had this exact issue ages (probably years) ago but it's not fully coming back to me. I'm sure the issue was a post code in the end. Woolworths customer service couldn't figure it out either

You're being a great help - I'm relieved to find out there's at least a few other people this has happened to! WW customer service told me on previous occasions that they had no idea what the problem was either, the only CSO who seemed to have any ideas on what might be causing the issue was the young guy I spoke to this time. I'll have to try placing another order and see if it works - if it still won't go through, I'll go back to customer service and ask them about the billing address.

Re the Woolworths Online issue, has happened to me when my IP address was a completely different location to the store and/or my address. Are any of you using a VPN or work internet that all routes through a different physical location?

Answer for me is no and no - have only ever tried to place a WW Online order from home, and have never used a VPN at all.

Just made two 1 night bookings at Hilton melbourne, fully prepaid. No statement credit emails. Eeeek!
I know prepaid stays was against the terms of the offer, but I thought others had luck receiving credits back for prepaid stays?

Have you actually paid yet? Many times they do not take payment until closer to the stay.

Yeah, it's looking like it'll have to be a call to amex to plead my case if the transaction goes through tomorrow or something.

AMEX won't really be able to do anything for you. The hotel will process the charges to AMEX.

I thought Hilton offer ends on the 31st
if it goes through tomorrow should be all good.

You're right! I thought I had checked that and read it was the 30th. Having a blonde day today obviously!
Thanks for giving me some hope. :)
- I did notice the gift card page mentioned that to allow 24hrs for gift card transactions, so maybe the same applies to pre paid stays? I'll definitely be on the phone to Hilton if the transactions haven't gone through by tomorrow arvo.
