About time, but it appears that either the airlines banded together or the airport has agreed, but ADL has a premium security line. The man checking eligibility at the entrance said it was new (obviously). Just breezed through straight to the front a few minutes ago. Gets a big tick from me.

Nice. I wondered about that when we were there for Christmas. We'll be there in August so hopefully it will still be in action.

That's good news as travel there most weeks (but not this week). What was the eligibility that the Security staff were checking and how likely is it to be enforced (or remain enforced) going forward?

I was through too quickly to take a photo, but IIRC the sign said First, Business, and Premium Frequent Flyer, or something like that. With the Express Path Logo underneath.

I hope they do enforce it so that it doesn't get clogged up.

About time! Must be new, flew out Sunday and wasn't there. Got caught behind a lady who was packing her stuff at a snails pace and in front of a guy who wouldn't let me get my bag because he needed to try to reach inside the xray machine for some unknown reason... It's not the smaller queues I think they are good for, but the fact that most people in them know how to go through airport security.

Unfortunately it just dumps you at the head of the existing queue, so you are then stuck with everyone else.

Just used this. Regular line snaked around. No one in the queue and no one manning it to ensure the riff raff didn't use it. As I'm walking down the lane though, about 5 metres from the converyor belt, the security guy manning the other lane signals to the regular lane for a bunch of people to go across. So suddenly landed up behind about eight people. Not ideal, but not the end of the world.

What was most interesting is they have a different type of x-ray machine and metal detector. No need to remove items (ie laptops) from bags with this machine. The metal detector was like those full body scanners at the international terminals, but looked like style.

Not once have I been asked to show my eligibility to use the premium lane even though each time a security guy was present. Maybe I look honest.

No enforcement = may as well not do it.

Will be interesting to see how it works if they don't enforce the eligibility.

Very rarely manned so not sure how it gets enforced. As my home port I can honestly say that in all the times I’ve gone through I’ve never been asked for proof of my eligibility and that’s if there is anyone even manning it

I go through at least once a fortnight and I think it's manned about 20% of the time I've gone through (usually before noon); haven't noticed any pattern with regards to when it is manned but it actually always seems to be the same person doing it (middle aged slim man). Maybe it's only manned when he's around?
