Decided to upgrade the sound system in the media room, from an older Sonos system to the current offering. Plugged in, everything saw everything else. All good. That left me with an older Sonos soundbar to do something with, so I decided to pair it with the TV in another room. This bar uses an optical connection, and can be problematic, as many TVs downgrade the sound quality on optical output, depending upon the source. Anyway, I have a way around this, so I set it up exactly as it had been connected in the media room. Turned on. All worked nicely. Next day, turned it on again, and all sorts of weird issues with the TV. Disconnected everything, but TV is still useless (issues across the board). Power down. Reboot. Kick. Oh well, I got 10 years out of it.
