Have over 200k sitting in an Amex account that is about to be closed (corp) so need to transfer.
(I realise I should have done this in March!)
Can't go to QF but I have enough there anyway.

Programs I have/ can transfer to
QF Plat (earnt) - can't transfer
DJ Plat (matched) - 1:1. Have 80k points. unlimited expiry. Good for domestic points & cash.
CX Gold (Amex Plat) - 1:1. At 1:1 becomes a lot more interesting. Better than AA for some redemptions. 3y expiry
MH Basic - 1:1. Have 17k points. Good at moment but will it change when entering oneworld. cough customer service and redemption site. 3y exp
SQ Basic - 1:1. Recently spent a lot. New BusinessSaver availability good, but high taxes and average burn rates. 3y expiry
AA Basic - 1:0.625 (via SPG if >20k). Good burn rate, some bankruptcy risk. No expiry if activity. Good redemption options for Aussie residents.
EY Basic (gold match pending) - 1:1. Don't know enough. 2y expiry (longer if higher). Highish redemptions

HH Diamond (Virgin) - No expiry so long as you stay
SPG Gold (Amex Plat) - 1:0.5. 30k existing. No expiry so long as you stay every 12m

Am thinking some (1/4) into hotel, probably SPG (keeps flex) - but I dont know enough about the relativities
Then rest between SQ and CX (or AA or MH)....

Any suggestions or help appreciated

It would depend on where you want to go and in which cabin you want to travel.

Those points are almost enough for 5 return economy awards to Asia on SQ or 2.5 return business awards to Asia. Can you use them before they expire?

The SPG option sounds OK.

Suspect if I transfer I can make use over three years.

Thinking at least 2 trips to Europe or US, ideally in J, which is what is leading me towards the Asian based airlines given some good redemption options for Aus-US/Europe.
Also wondering which option would be best for RTW redemptions (obviously a gamble on MH till it joins oneworld).

On the SPG option, I could also park them there until AA undoubtedly runs another transfer special.

With the 1:1 vs 1:0.625 CX v AA how do they stack up on fuel fines, taxes etc??

Ended up sweeping 1/4 Velocity, 1/4 Krisflyer and 1/2 to SPG - so a reasonable spread of programs.
