Slightly different one here. Not really a single social event so I thought here would be a better place. Please move as appropriate.

I am not a wine connoisseur but I do enjoy my degustations, especially those run as a special event. Between various mailing lists and the Entertainment book I often hear about wine, scotch, coughtail degos etc but don't always have anyone to go with. I don't mind being third wheel but my friends are often not that keen or are paying down the mortgage (I still rent...), so more appealing dinners come around than I have people to eat with.

I'm basically wondering if anyone in PER (or even those who know that they will be in PER) would be keen to come to a dego occasionally and possibly be part of a mailing list of dinners. They generally run at ~$100-150 for 4-6 courses with matched wines.

I'm dkeen so is my missus on food. Usually when I find out about these events tickets are sold out. Dont you have a lovely lass to accompany you?

Great, I will PM you when some come along. Anyone else?

No partner now, and being at the age where everyone I know is engaged or married and their friends are too, not really meeting any candidates either!

Any other takers? :)

Sorry to hear mate... at least easier to find one F award seat ;)

This is true. Then QF go and remove F class from the flight on which I was booked- HKG-SYD...

 Life goes on, but I should probably spend less time rock climbing and more time at parties...

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Maybe try using Tinder, Meet Me or Badoo apps for more candidates? Sorry if it's a silly suggestion but hey, they are for meeting people.
I think it would be great if there was an app that was genuinely just about making friends or catching up with people, like distinct from dating... not sure if there is... I'm not much of a foodie, more of a dancing or coffee type girl.
Good luck, anyway!

Good leads for all of my sons friends who are 28 and without partners missafternoondelight.
We took our son to Chez Pierre for lunch and he was actually impressed.
Cynicor we had better move AFF Perth get togethers up market.

I am in Perth spasmodically with work and am often stuck eating alone. If the stars align I would jump at this type of event.

Steady- I'll PM you my number and will update to this thread with any potential dinners

Cove- Huge fan of Chez Pierre. I'm probably there ~3rd weekly, their $58.50 5 course dinners are an amazing deal. Always up for a PER crew get together too, no matter what level of pomp or lack thereof. I'll eat at hawker centres, 7-11s (and Lawson's chicken in TYO!), through to fine dining.

Missafternoondelight- Haven't yet taken the plunge into the world of dating apps. Not really actively looking right now anyway with more exams coming up. Coffee and dancing are great but much odder to find for company on an FF forum I figure! That said, I miss the Rise nightclub...

PF- Let us know when you're here again and I'm sure we can find something to suit!

I can see someone received an email from the Entertainment Book today.

I don't mind the fine dining, but finding the time is the hard thing for me.
