Ultimate Airport Dubai - why blur the plane's website?

I'm currently watching Ultimate Airport Dubai on Nat Geo. On the episode I watched last night, they took delivery of an Emirates A380 & were flying it to Dubai.

In that episode, they'd taken us inside the Emirates B777 cabin simulator & shown an interaction at the Emirates check in counter.

So there were lots of Emirates imagery during the show. If you were playing an Emirates drinking game, you'd be at least 3 sheets to the wind.

Which is why I wondered why the producers would blur Emirates' URL on the side of the plane? It's quite clearly an Emirates plane. No other thing on the plane is blurred.

Maybe the producers were playing an Emirates drinking game...?

I don't quite understand it either. There's so much EK exposure that blurring the web address is going to have little effect. Maybe EK didn't pay enough?

Maybe Nat geo have a commercial references policy, so trade names are OK but web addresses are not?

Hi Guys,

Anyone been watching the tv series on Tues evenings on Nat Geo about Dubai airport? Its a little different to the Uk Tv series 'Airport Live' which concentrated more of ATC but its quite interesting!

Thought the price of an a380 tyre was a little steep  $20k, plus they weigh 250kg.

I have been watching it with great interest!
