When I try to apply for this card the ID check keeps telling me that the system is unavailable....

Anyone know if government spend is considered eligible spend on this card and the Nab Qantas Premium card?

Just checking if having a NAB business card precludes individuals from be eligible for the 115,000 points?
I read the T&C's carefully and they're separate exclusions periods between the personal and business cards.

I had the personal card within the last 12months, and applied the biz card which should give me 100k points again

Is there a place on the Nab online portal where I can check if the bills I paid earned me points and goes towards my eligible spend criteria?

Excuse my ignorance , but the points are 1 for 1 right ? If i sign up & spend the required $4000 in 60 days i will get 115000 quantas points for $395 annual fee ? Seems like a great offer if thats the case .

Yup. 1 point per $ which means you stand to rake in 119,000 for $395 - providing that you, like many of us, plan to hold the card only long enough to earn the points and move on.

Wow , thanks ... Think i will apply this evening
edit:- Appears to be the best card offer @ present.

Good luck!

I'm waiting for 90,000 points to come in from St George so I can cancel it and apply for this card. It is scheduled to post 4 June which will give me time but St George could delay it a further month in which case I'll be left high and dry. The ANZ Rewards Black (75,000 rewards points offer) will be the consolation prize if the little dragon drags his feet. Oh the suspense...

I don’t think i’m being ruthless enough with churning . lol

You should only go as fast as you feel comfortable. I went very hard when I belatedly discovered this lark 4.5 years ago but I've since shifted gears and now only apply for cards that can net in excess of $1,000 in value (noting I value a QF point at 1.3 cent based on that being the going sales price on ozbargain which, to me, represents the closest approximation to a market price we can achieve for such things, notwithstanding the legalities around it).

Your statement about 1 for 1 is correct. But I'd have to strongly disagree about this being a great offer. Without even looking terribly much ANZ and St George have better offers currently.

I'm interested in your justification for strongly disagreeing that this is not a great offer. For mine, it's just as good if not better than the other 2 you mention.

ANZ, definitely better (read cheaper [free]) offer. But St George is now back at 90,000 points for $279 fee, only marginally better ppd value from the NAB card.

Examine the points per dollar paid for both offers.

ANZ = free points. NAB = paid points. On that basis I'm not sure how you can claim "it's just as good if not better than the other 2 you mention." If the ANZ offer is not substantially better value than NAB then I have no idea about churning. And St George does offer better value per dollar than the NAB offer. But if it was me I'd be taking all of these offers and effectively averaging the cost of the points.

You should only go as fast as you feel comfortable.

I'd advise differently. The rules of the game are changing all of the time. The number of offers and value of points on offer 4 or 5 years ago was a lot more than it is now. Who knows what will happen in 12 months time? If history is any judge you would not expect the offers/value of the offers to dramatically increase. Apply for every card that you can. Make hay whilst the sun shines I say. Stock pile your points now for a rainy day. All too often opportunities close rather than open. [Apologies for the over use of proverbs but they do in this instance demonstrate that you need to act now.]
