Anyone know how long after I cancel my earlier NAB Card (whereby I paid the annual fee) could I then apply for this one for the same bonus of 40k pts?

TIA.

Perhaps you shouldn't have cancelled. I obtained the basic NAB card and am now awaiting the 20,000 bonus points. Last month I applied for and received the NAB Premium Card with 40,000 points to come and no fee.

Application b4 30th April right?

Promotion expires 19th ^.^

Just applied, instant approval, and now to play the waiting game for the cards, then points, then I cancel the basic card until that one goes on promotion again. Rinse and repeat. >< its a churners life :D

I agree, that is in fact exactly why I cancel, I may well apply for the points but that's not the reason I cancel. Mentioning the sign on is just unnecessary.

It's interesting, I just cancelled my ANZ FF card which I received with the 50000 bonus point promotion and no annual fee for the first year. I told them I'm cancelling because I needed the card for a BT but changed my mind and paid the balance in full (which is partly true). He then asked me if I received the card as part of the bonus point promotion. They have obviously onto people collecting the points and cancelling. Again, I didn't tell him that was the reason I was canceling.

Can't complain about the efficiency of NAB in awarding the bonus points.

I applied on 20/2/2015. Had the 40,000 bonus points appear in my Qantas account 18/3/2015 after spending just $13.60.

Bonus points hit my QFF account last night. One week after first statement points

Have to agree. I found out my credit card wasn't linked to my QFF for some reason. Called up the NAB Plat CC hotline on Sunday and added my QFF number. Checked my account this Wednesday morning and BAM 40,000 points. Unlike ANZ who made sure they took the full 3 months to post the points!

Looks like they are doing a sweep on the 18th of the month? As per reports from last and this month...

40k posted today.....that's 100k in the last few months, thanks NAB :)

Right just looking at "preping" for this card as just got the Plat Edge in March.....
What will I need for application....and will it be approved online in 60 secs?
Have to apply by the 16th right?
Thinking around the 10th?

Not necessarily approved on the spot as they may require proof of income. Otherwise approval is normally very prompt, based on own and partner's approval within a few days.

There's nothing unusual about the application process. You'll need income and expense details etc. I'd allow at least 3 weeks to receive the card though.

just beware it's ATO value has apparently just been shelved come 1 May.

I signed up last month and have received the first statement which interestingly didn't have the note re: new earn rate that has been mentioned previously.
