With Oyster, I bought a Senior Railcard (1/3 off any rail fare), with which you can also get 1/3 off off-peak Tube/Overground fares in London; you just have to get the Railcard added to your Oyster card, at any Rail (not Tube) station. Also (as of last April, at least) at the TfL info desk at Heathrow Terminals 2/3 Underground station. The Railard costs £35 a year or £80 for three years, so you have to do a reasonable amount of UK travel to make it worthwhile; I make two trips a year and I'm definitely up on this deal. This is just the ability to pay a standard fare using a credit card. As such no system can identify your age from a CC.
As with other systems such as Oyster and Opal you will need a special card to recognize who you are nd your entitlements. It might be called MYKI !
