Multi City domestic rewards failure

Hi there,

In the past I was able to easily book 4-5 leg domestic classic reward itineraries, for example PER-MEL-SYD-BNE-CNS via the multi city search.

As long as the total flight was <24h the points required where based on the total distance.

When I try the same thing now, one of two things happens. Either the points required are calculated on an individual flight basis. Example below. I would expect this to come in at 25.2k points, not 38.3k.

Or, more often than not, the itinerary fails:

Thoughts? Is this possibly a married segments issue?

Thanks!

Could the first one be because you cross into a new day? ie the 24 hour rule being 0000 - 2359?

In my experience, the last flight needed to depart <24h after the first one. In any case, even on the same day I get the same pricing, followed by a generic error:

might be another non-published QF IT enhancement. Maybe it’s still bookable if you call?

Probably related to these

Yep! @RealtimeY

I agree, I think it’s due to Married Segments. It’s been Iike this for a few years unfortunately - I used to exploit this quite a lot prior to them clamping down.

Yes, I haven't had any luck on getting more than 3 sectors on a domestic in quite some time. A bother because it has good potential for PC SC earn
