Thanks OP and thank you Amex. I've just done online transfer at 1:1 to Asia Miles. I believe this rate change will stand beyond 31 March.

Last day for 1:1 and bonus points!

Has anyone managed to receive their 25% bonus points for Malaysia Airlines? If so, how long did it actually take? I know the T&Cs say 4-6 weeks but I am hoping some of you have had points credited earlier.

Although it says it will be credited by the partner, it seems that once AMEX processes the transfer, the points get credited to the partner's account immediately? Or am I incorrect? Reason I say this is that I was waiting for points to be transferred to AM and the hold up was on AMEX's side (online said it was still "in progress"). Once my account manager hassled the redemptions team, the status changed to "fulfilled" and the points were immediately in my AM account.

If this is the case, I might hassle my account manager to push for the 25% MAS bonus to be credited early!

Would be good to hear all your thoughts/experiences.

Transfered 300K to enrich in different lots, Have has 50K bonus points added so far another 25K to go. Yay!

I think it is just the 1000 bonus points that vanishes.

My letter specifically states Asia Miles will now receive the 1;1. I will keeo the letter.

Enjoy bonus miles on American Express Membership Rewards points conversions in Australia!
Throughout March 2012, American Express Cardmembers in Australia who convert their Membership Rewards points to Asia Miles will enjoy a special rate of 1 point per mile! Plus, if you’re not yet an Asia Miles member, enrol now and convert points to miles within the promotion period to earn 1,000 bonus miles!

Promotion period:
1–31 March 2012

I am not sure how you read the promotion period (March month) being only applicable to the bonus miles...

Anyway, regardless, I'll be extremely happy if you are right and the 1 for 1 maintaining from 1 April.

What letter is this you refer to?

Apparently the promotion is a huge successful and received multiple positive feedbacks. Amex has investigated the options to continue with the current 1:1 rate, perhaps it is also a counter measure for westpac altitude and citi select's transfer rate.

Im happy that some of you have received the letter stating that. That's the second good news that I've heard about Amex this year. Well done!

OK….I’ll ask..what was the first.

Enrich transfers are still showing up as 1 MR point to 1 Enrich mile on the Membership Rewards site (when you go to perform the transfer, not just in the catalog)... I guess that's a good sign?

I am not referring to the link you posted. But the letter I referred to by me. The letter dated March is in two part (Using Points and earning Points)refers to the NEW rates for my Ame Edge Card including the ongoing 0.5 earn rate for utilities (states effective 1 July).

It also states a redemption rate of 1;1 for EIGHT airlines and specifically mentions the 33% increase foe Asia Miles, Malaysian and Thai.

Changes are state to be effective immediately for using REWARD points...and there os no end date (Though Amex may of course choose to alter rates up or down in future).

As MR points are pooled for all 3 of my Amex cards all will gain the improved transfer rate.

The Using points part also announces Etihad Airlines as an airline partner and webjet Hotels for accommodation.

So until they write to me agin I will expect 1:1...and I will file the letter they sent me.

I think Asiamiles and Enrich at 1:1 is a good deal, even better using the reserve or plat charge at 1:1.5

Great news then! I wonder why they didn't send me a letter as I also have the 3 Plat Amex cards...

Happy days! But I'll keep smashing my Citi CC that's earning 2.17 SQ points per $1 until year end :p

Centurion benefit... Probably not related in this thread

Maybe not related to this thread, but don't tease, tell us please. I can't think of any new Cent benefit, this year. Last ones in memory are free Waldorf/Conrad night and CX Diamond ( which was matched by DJ) - both last year

All of the "x% bonus offers" (e.g. 25% bonus miles when transferring to Enrich during March) have been removed from the "Frequent Travel Partners" page on the Membership Rewards website, however the improved transfer rates remain. I'd say that pretty much guarantees the "bonuses" were for March only but the transfer rates are permanent.

Yipee! :D

It's not released yet, so I can't disclose too much for now. Just wait for a month or two and I will let you guys know as soon as I received the confirmation.
Also there is fairmont / raffle hotel offer too, use it before the expiry date :)

I wonder what this is about :) Hints please :)

This sounds like a maybe, rather than an actual benefit. I'll be happy with any new Cent benefits - expecting some with the new business card, and Amex has been and still is reworking their whole suite, but I can't imagine too much excitement.
i'll keep hoping for something that makes Cent a bit more thrilling than it has been.

Don't want to brag but

I think the transfer rates are permament but the various bonuses are for March only.
