Thanks for the TR; really interesting and a nice refresher on Morocco. Good job getting (or at least booking !) the riad transfer from RAK - I remember arriving at RAK the first time, completely unaware of what was before me - the biggest taxi driver rabble aggressively touting for fares I have ever seen!

Thanks, Flasback! Enjoy seeing the photos of your Moroccan adventure. Mr Myrna & I were not that adventurous when we went to Morroco, but your trip report may entice us to go back to see things in your photos.

I've had a few interesting tries at the airport. I've been able to get a ride from the airport into Gueliz for 100 Dh, pretty decent. No one wanted to know about it .. then one guy said yeh ok, jump in

One thing of note is that Google Maps seems to work even if you don't have an active data connection. Works reasonably well.... but... in the Medina, everything is not quite where it says it is; hence why I now book a transfer to a Riad if it is in the Medina

Let's just say the first visit to RAK was quite an eye opener :shock: but as such now, nothing really phases me!
