MBS Pool (wasn't actually in the pool) is in the middle of a thunderstorm. Lightning hit the roof and phone on the wall went flying!

Truly a spectacular experience!

Did 5 national parks in Southern Utah. Bryce Canyon was the most interesting, with Zion close behind.

Yep Bryce Canyon was amazing as was Zion - trying to decide if I'll put up Bryce Canyon or Hubbard Glacier

Great thread - Thanks

And just because I failed to do a trip report I'll post a few pics of my time driving the Transfagarasan Road in Transylvania in late October before it closed due to being too dangerous. The Top Gear boys were spot on this is one hell of fun drive!

I can post Bryce Canyon now but this time next year it will be Hubbard Glacier.

For me it would be Novosibirsk (OVB) Siberia.

Shame on me, I didn't take most interesting to mean most scenic. My bad.
But the gravitational anomaly in Siberia has to be the winner as most interesting.
:D

LOL on my camera and laptop they are all the right way up it seems to be a southern hemisphere problem. Have tried all I can to change them. Would be good of a mod could assist :D

My favorite and interesting place of 2015 would be Sri Lanka . Went there with expectations and loved it. The beaches away from Colombo and negambo area are beautiful , friendly people , great food and spices, cheap. We stayed at a lovely resort secluded and it was quiet and relaxing. A close second is India , I loved the Taj Mahal, stunning .
Merry xmas and safe travels everyone , I'm flying Xmas day for the first time!

band_at_lille.jpg Wandering around Lille, France on a Saturday morning. Seems each advocacy group has musicians attached to attract attention. Memories of summer parades associated with carnivals and volunteer fire company fund raisings as a young man.
As usual, I'm wandering

OK, so post your most interesting OR most scenic. Words aren't very interesting in this context, your bad or not.

For our family, Fairbanks Alaska. There's something magical about cold, remote places. Locals are always surprised that you would go to the trouble to visit.

I'm enjoying the scenery immensely. (despite not initially associating scenery with the topic)
I've posted my most interesting experience of a number of years. A trip, including a brief few minutes in North Korea, that was full of quirky, amusing cold war-equse propaganda. Unfortunately, I did have someone yelling "NO PHOTO!" at me during most of the trip including when I was in (or more correctly under) North Korea. Now secretly, I do have a very quick snap, taken blind from the hip, of a colleague who was with me. But I'm pretty sure they don't want their picture on AFF.

Love it. Hopefully I'll be able to capture something similar early in the New Year.

Just South of Fred’s spot at Lille, France, is mine.
It is the magnificently maintained CWGC cemetery in the idyllic location of BERNAFAY WOOD.
Here rests my uncle who died at the Battle of the Somme on 25th January 1917, he was only 19.

Too many interesting places to try and pick a photo so might just list some... Was lucky to be able to spend about 3 months travelling this year...

12 Apostles - Victoria
Ephesus and Cappadocia - Turkey
2 more out of the recently nominated 7 wonders of the world (Petra - Jordan, Taj Mahal - India) Just one left now
Canadian Rockies (spectacular scenery!!!)
Several national Parks and sites in Utah and Arizona (unfortunately Bryce Canyon was clouded out when I went there :( )
Tick off the bucket list - Saint Martin and the planes landing over the beach as part of 10 day cruise
Driving around Kruger national park - South Africa
