I dont know how people can have confidence in Tiger getting them to their destination, it would appear Tiger have run out of people in Adelaide to upset, with the following changes eff Nov 10:

ADL-BNE Dropped
ADL-OOL Dropped
ADL-SYD Night flight 1 only
ADL-MEL 2 return flights max.

At the same time ASP,ROK, MKY to MEL will move to AVV.

Tiger continually amaze me with their extremely pro-active approach to finding routes that work for them.

I am more inclined to think they needed the ADL based aircraft for the new AVV base. Seems they have an ongoing aircraft shortage.

I was being a tad cynical, you are on the right track as far as the public reasons for the change, but it does beg the question, why the shortage?

Indeed. One would have thought that when they announced AVV they had aircraft lined up for it.

They did, but apparently CASA said no more registrations for the moment, thats the word on the boards ;).

Interesting. With CASA there could be any number of reasons and it would be a guess as to what is the real answer.

that announcement isnt sudden, though, they've been advising of that change since those booking slots opened - no one has been 'shifted' (or dropped) from any booking

That's what i have been reading on the forums, and what a TT FA has told me.

I had a look into it, and it seems the parent in SIN kept the planes due to an upswing in travel in SE Asia. Of course, that could just be a public explanation. It's always hard to knowwith these things where the truth lies.

(and I did find the CASA angle on some boards I had a read of)

Oh well, now that TT changed ADL-SYD to 1 flight per day, it is no longer worth flying with TT just in case they cancel the only flight of the day ......
