Is it possible/wise to create more than one Woolworths rewards account? I've noticed you can get quit good offers if you consistently spend low amounts. Does anyone know if you have to be over 18? Kids could be a possibility and easy to transfer points as well. Any experience amongst members on here?

Thanks

You can open up a Woolworths Rewards account for anyone under the age of 18. The original policy from the early Everyday Rewards days was that all members received targeted offers, regardless of age. This changed a few years into the program. I doubt they've changed back to the original policy.

Targeted offers will only be sent to members over 18. Last I checked, date of birth was a field which could be adjusted on existing accounts.

I have one account for each member of my family. We get lots of great offers and it's rare for me to do any shopping without taking up some sort of targeted offer.

You'll need a separate email address for each rewards account. The login system has changed in the last year and I've heard the system tracks new accounts if you try to set them up with email addresses from existing accounts. I've got some of our accounts on the same email address but I've got to be really careful when logging in and activating offers.

If you're good at keeping track of multiple things then it's wise and profitable to have accounts for each member of the family.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Great Thanks for this. So if you have different emails and mobile numbers and your over the age of 18 you should get targeted offers that you can eventually transfer QFF points to another account. Will it work for one of my kids who is under 18.. they have a Qantas Frequent Flyer number but no Woolworths Rewards card YET!!

It's not only possible, it's mandatory if you want to have a steady stream of offers.

I currently have 9 accounts.

Some tips:

1) Don't sign up all at once
2) Use different email addresses
3) Realise that you can only link one of your accounts to receive QF points
4) Use different postal addresses
5) Cycle through your cards and wait for offers to pop up. I rarely go a week without an offer being available on one of my cards
6) I use 0402000000 as my mobile number for all accounts.

Excuse my ignorance.. but with 9 accounts you can only link one of them to receive QF points? Are they all in your name or how do you get the points into your QFF account?

Yes. 1 Woolworths rewards account can be linked to your QF account. The other accounts feed into reward dollars instead.

Are they all in your name

No only 1 account is in my name

or how do you get the points into your QFF account?

You can't. '3) Realise that you can only link one of your accounts to receive QF points' The other accounts feed into cash back/rewards instead.

Makes sense, so the other 8 accounts are for money saving purposes at Woolworths. What if you got members of your family (who are existing qantas frequent flyers and 18+) to open 1 account each and set redemption to Qantas frequent flyer points. Could they then transfer the Qantas points to me via family transfer?

Yes.

But there are also benefits to having multiple accounts including taking advantage of gift card offers where the limit has been 10 per everyday rewards account or something like this current opportunity:

20,000 Woolworths rewards points with a pet insurance policy

A long route, but yes this can occur. Remember that transfer to QF from Woolworths only occurs every 3 months. Then of course, you need to do the Qantas family transfer and satisfy those conditions (Frequent Flyer - Qantas Points and Partners - Using Qantas Points - Family transfers): biggest one may be this:

'Minimum 5,000 to maximum 600,000 points per transfer'

Given 1 Woolworths Rewards point, equates to 0.435 Qantas Points per dollar spent (870 Qantas Points per 2,000 Woolworths points) this would mean that you need to have 11496 Woolworths rewards points to get the 5000 Qantas points as the minimum transfer level.

This strategy will gain you some QF points, but the reality is there are plenty more opportunities for earning QF points available that get better results and take less time and effort.

Gaining large number of points is definitely possible, but it's something that you are going to have to work at. If you think this is a 5 minute exercise walk away now :)

Thanks Dr Ralph for all your help.... i'll set up a few extras with family who will shop and go from there.

I've applied for the pet insurance thing... still waiting on the points. If it works easily I'd be mad not to do it on a few others

Can you please explain the significance of that mobile number? Do they do anything to verify it's real? I'm assuming they're not checking that you've used the same mobile for multiple accounts?

Use a random number. That you know that no one else has.

When you need to verify use email rather than SMS.
