Hi I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations on getting Internet access in Asia (eg Hong Kong) and Europe (Greece and Turkey)? In the past I used various public wifi hot spots or if desperate- roaming. But I was wondering if there is anything like a prepaid data sim in those countries listed above? I have one of those Optus mobile modems (not USB) which can connect several devices.

thanks heaps!

i spent quite a bit of time in athens in late 2011...Vodafone offers prepaid sims and they advertise it as "practically unlimited" - to which i found means 60MB a month...that's no typo!

so i went back into a store and put 100 euro credit on my account, they looked at me like i was killing a puppy

good luck

If you spent time in Greece I would recommend Wind. 14.9€ for Connection Pack without USB stick. 30 days free Internet access initial browsing time (up to 3GB data usage). In Turkey you might join Turkcell with the following packs:

Wind would be a good option for Greece. There are many retail stores around especially in Athens...just go in knowing what you want and you should have no problem.
