Just playing around with mixed class fares BNE- Europe later this year.
Have found BNE-HKG in Y on QF, then HKG-AMS in J on EY- total $3402pp.return- Good deal?

SQ had some great BNE-SIN fares in Y but onwards from there J options were about $800-1000 more expensive than HKG or BKK.

It's not a bad combo!

You could shave some off that flying via SIN into Paris (business class SIN-CDG on Sri Lankan) - but you'd then have to make your way Paris-Ams. The Sri Lankan fare is around $2100 SIN-CDG return.

Thanks Ill have a look. QR were also around $2200 from BKK- guessing QR and EY worth a bit extra over Sri Lankan for a better J product?

I think all carriers have full flat beds... but worth checking individual sectors. You're probably right that QR and EY will have an edge in terms of food and beverage offerings. Sri Lankan is a little more old school - still having full trolley service where you can create exactly what you want to eat (which I quite like). One advantage of Sri Lankan is the flight time... going via Singapore you probably have a couple hours less each way in economy over Bangkok... time you could already be lounging [-]on a full flat bed[/-] and sipping champagne!

Apparently, you are on an A320 from SIN-CMB which does not have a flat bed. Thats about 4 hours of "suffering".
