Ok for mixed cabin rdpt bookings it prices at highest cabin rate for all sectors and all benefits for highest cabin apply to all sectors - so YES you are eligible for J checkin - if check-in Agent questions you just quote this fact and if they still give you any aggro ask for the SQ rep

I am not sure this is correct. At least in terms of access to lounges, I think it is way more complicated. And baggage, I think, is based on the most significant sector in any given set of connecting sectors.
