Missing QBR points

Yes, there’s an online “missing points claim” form for flights.
Yes I've done that but it rejects it despite all details being correct. It seems to be an issue with that particular flight as none of the group received points.

Is the bonus 250pts for the traveler still a thing? No sign of them either.
Received 250 bonus pts today. So they must post to the individual accounts when the flight posts to QBR account?

Still no sign of 4 or 5 QF Hotel stays. Some of those should have posted a few weeks ago.

I'm tempted to order some wine to see if that's still working as normal and it's just some hangup with QF Hotels....

I lodged an inquiry form on Friday RE missing hotels stay points. Haven’t received a response, but just noticed the oldest just posted (from 10 Dec)….

Qantas are such a shambles. Ive been on the phone for an hour now trying to get my Triple Bonus points on an MEL-LAX flight back in early Jan. I have the points on the return leg, but not the outgoing. I have been transferred to 4 people. I have an email Reference SRXX number that no-one at Qantas recognises. Its a very simple problem, and very easy to explain, points received for 1 flight but not another. but i just cant get any sense out of anyone at Qantas. It is like a Monty Python sketch,. They have finally said i have to contact Amex.

Was that a QBR promo?

I received double points on some domestic flights recently. I’d totally forgotten about the promo or that the flights were eligible…

No its standard on all Qantas flights paid with Qantas Business Rewards Amex Card; you get the business reward points, and then 2X more as bonus. But it keeps going wrong

Oh, well apart from the snafu, that sounds like a good deal! My AMEX Small Biz card (predates the QBR cards) only does the 2x points on flight purchases. As an aside, never gives bonus points on QF Hotels nor QF Wine…(fortunately, my NAB VISA does).

For the 3x points, does it matter if you book via the portal or just book regularly and add the ABN there?

I invariably do the later, since QBR Level 1 doesn’t offer anything (unless I’m booking a full flex whY flight during DSC promos 😉).

The ABN needs to be in the booking - you can add it at any time before travel. The booking needs to be paid for in full using the Amex. (I used to be able to part pay using gift vouchers to avoid CC surcharges, but that stopped working over a year ago.)

I still havent got my Amex Business Reward Points back. I have had various extremely frustrating email & phone exchange withs both Amex and Qantas, but i could not get either to tell me who is responsible for actually sorting this out.

Does anyone know if it should be Qantas Business Rewards team or the Amex team ?

Re-asking here because this thread didn’t garner a response

But do only points from flying count towards Tier points?

I’m sitting on just under 15,000* but when I add up just the flying (and some bonus flying related points), it comes to around 12,000. If I add up everything, flying, Hotels and Wine total is ~16,000+. I can’t find a combo that equals the reported total.

Also, my Tier year ends 31 Oct, so I assume only activity from 01 Nov 24 is in the current tier counter?

*as an aside, I was ripped off after an involuntary downgrade from PE to whY which should have ticked me over 15,000 and no more QF flying this side of Nov…😔

Giving this old thread a bump because the problems are still happening.

Mr Seat0A and I took a trip together that involved a domestic connection CBR-SYD and then an international flight followed by the same in reverse order. The ABN was provided. The business is registered for GST. The points for both of us for the inbound flights posted. No points posted for the outbound flights.

I tried to lodge a missing points form online, but like others in this thread (@blackcat20 and @elanshin) I could not do that because it said that the details i provided did not match their records - despite the fact that the details were totally correct. So on 25 Feb, I had to call them. Waited quite a long time (over 45 mins) before speaking to someone (probably in South Africa), who had a great deal of difficulty understanding what my issue was. It was simple - no points for any of the outbound flights for either pax, but she just could not get it. Eventually, she said she understood, would take action and I should check back in 24-48 hrs and the points would be there. I was not filled with confidence.

Checked back in 24 hrs and surprisingly, Mr Seat0A's point for the outbound international leg were there. Not for his domestic connection. And no points at all for me. So I called again, spoke to a different person (again probably South Africa) on 26 Feb who was quite abrupt and told me that I had not waited long enough. I said that I had been told 24-28 hrs and that some points, but not all, had posted at 24 hrs so I wanted to check what was happening. He said that what I had been told was wrong and that all the flights would be processed individually in their own time and not to call back again for at least another 48 hrs. I was not filled with confidence after this exchange, and felt patronised and dismissed.

I actually cared about getting the points sorted because they were enough to push my business into Level 3, and my membership year was ending on 28 Feb. I wanted to get the Level 3 because it offers better benefits for my business.

Anyway, then the ME war kicked off and I spent the next 10 days arranging, re-arranging and re-re-arranging travel for Seat Son to his wedding and Seat Daughter to attend the wedding and forgot all about checking back.

Checked today, and nothing has changed. Mr Seat0A has points for his outbound international, but not domestic connection. I still have nothing. Another call to QBR coming up.....Arghhhhhh.

I was typing the above while I was on hold to QBR. Finally got through, this time to the Philippines. I explained the problem. This consultant seemed to understand what the issue was, although she suggested that maybe the flights were not eligible. Maybe that's a reasonable thing to mention in relation to the outbound domestic connection flights (for which neither of us has had points), but not very likely for the outbound international as Mr Seat0A has points and I travelled on the same flight, on the same fare and on the same PNR as him. Once I pointed that out, she said, OK I understand. Then did the usual, spiel - I will send this off for manual input, please check again in 24-48 hrs.

I politely but firmly said I was not happy to leave it at this - this is my third call, have been told this before and the problem still is not fixed. Also that I was waiting for points to get to Level 3 and was unable to make new bookings with the correct benefits I should have if the points posted correctly after the flight or even after the first or second calls. She put me on hold for a moment to "check", and came back and said she could see the case notes for the first 2 calls, understood my frustration, promised the points would be credited soon (if eligible) and that it would all backdate

oops, typing while talking not a good idea, posted before I finished.

She said it would all back date so I would get level 3 and also that she would send me an email to confirm the actions she had taken once it was sorted. I asked if there was any option to wait on the phone while it was sorted as this has all been promised before but not eventuated. She said unfortunately no, but promised she would do it and get it sorted. I feel a bit more confident now, but really, what a palaver. I will report back when/if it gets sorted out.

Sorry to hear all the troubles, especially following on from the wedding situation.

I've more or less sort of just given up chasing QBR stuff right now. Not flying enough to make level 3 without some serious planning. And sometimes theres just not enough time to chase these things up.
