To be fair, I have found QF to be very good when I have needed to follow up on missing points. This time, though, it's been a bit of a joke.

I had a mult-city flight with RJ. After a week the points for the first leg weren't showing up so I put in a claim. Nothing happened until I took the second and final leg with RJ then the following day the points and status for both legs posted.

The day after that QF wrote to me to tell me that my claim had been rejected as there was no record of my travelling on the flight!

Possibly because RJ's computer system doesn't tell QF's computer system until all sectors of the ticket are travelled.

Edit: and possibly the response from QF was based on an offline copy from the day before and not the online system. Not sure if it is still the case, but years ago the loyalty stuff was not in real time.

Good points but if QF write to me to tell me there is no record of me being on the flight then they should have checked it. If they haven't yet received the information then they shouldn't respond or, if they do, just to let me know that they are waiting for confirmation.

Last week I had a total of six rejected claims for QF missing points and SCs.

For the first three rejected claims, I took up the issue via email, after online chat went nowhere. In the email, i mentioned that there were another three claims in the pipeline, with the same set of characteristics. (Code share, OW, eligible class.)

Points and status credits for all six flights were credited a day or two later.

Two days after that, three rejection emails received from QF for the flights already credited.
Go figure! :)

I missed 1 leg of 4 on EK years ago. Claim was rejected twice. 18 months later the points miraculously appeared in my account with correct flight details and date. No SC though. (I was still new to the FF caper at the time, had it been now I would have chased teh SC as well!)

I thought QFF wouldn't earn SC on EK flights?

My flights have always posted with Qantas barring a JQ flight I chased up. But recently a domestic leg didn't credit nor did my EK flight with QF code. Waiting the outcome. Maybe I've been too lucky in the past. I hate chasing up flights.

My partners JQ flight was rejected. I need to check his account to see if some other flights accrued to QF. I'll swipe the points if he doesn't fly something QF related. I presume an award flight with QR counts as activity from the date it was flown resetting the clock for another 18 months.

Or one could conclude the various rejections were because the points having been credited, they didn’t wish to pay them twice

If this relates to my post at #4 above, then not the reason that was given.
As for the first three rejections, the statement from QF was:

<Your claim for missing Qantas Points submitted on ...…. has been processed but was UNSUCCESSFUL - AIRFARE AND BOOKING CLASS NOT ELIGIBLE TO EARN.>

I'm trying to claim for a return flight from Noumea. We booked via Qantas both ways but was an Air Cailin plane on the way home. In the drop down box for partner airlines there is no option for their code (SB)?

Air Calin are not a QFF partner, so no point earn if on the SB code

Ok, that seems a bit rough when we thought it was a Qantas flight both directions, ie only booked via Qantas.

The QF website does offer options that are either non-earning on QFF partner/OW airlines or non QFF partners that won’t earn on QFF
