Minor flight time changes - this is getting annoying

Would the TripCase app be useful in lieu of the My Flights app? I have never used it before, so I have no idea - but TripCase is run by Sabre, so in theory it would stay in step with any changes VA make:

Thanks for the suggestion.

Has anyone had experience with TripCase? I was set on My Flights, but may try TripCase in the interim to see what it offers.

I tried trip case, before My flights could do sabre. I couldn't get it to recognise/save my bookings. But that's more a reflection on me than on trip case.

Also, you could try emailing Chris from my flights. He has been super responsive with addressing issues and communicating directly with me.

Thanks for the suggestion. I've now emailed Chris. Will post the response.

No reply to my email as yet. The My Fights website still says that the iTunes app is temporarily not available. :(

My experience: they changed me from PER-MEL-OOL to PER-BNE direct due to an inconvenient schedule change (20min I think). No charge. PER BNE was ~ one hundred more expensive I think. I have platinum tier membership so that may come into it too.

Kayak app with "my trips" function is a good free alternative to the apps discussed above. It gives IME reliable updates to flight schedules via email as they are updated in real time. Has saved my bacon a couple of times.

TripCase and the like are more focused on day-of-trip changes, aren't they? (E.g. change of departure gate or delayed departure time) Is Kayak similar to TripCase in this fashion or does it monitor the actual booking record like My Flights app?

@kevrosmith -- not sure about that sorry. I think kayak my trips tells you about any change regardless of the day but i can't be 100% sure.

Yep I use Tripcase and it does the job fine, using the Android version so cant comment on the iPhone version because ... well ... who uses iPhones anymore??? :p

Have used tripcase for a few years and I dont leave home without it - sure you have to load up each of your activities but they advise of departure times and gate changes before the airports and lounges do - that to me is my saviour. Plus sharing your itinerary with those that need to know is an added bonus - particularly if you just want to share a leg of your trip.

Our corporate travel agent supports trip case so all my QF flights show up in it.

Pretty good to have everything in one place.

Well there is a first time for everything.... Flight got cancelled this afternoon so I was moved to to next one 15 minutes later.

Not a huge issue, minus the fact that I pretty much moved from 3F to 27E! All the forward rows taken on the flight as well.... but of course the call centre will never reseat other people that that gold/plats can access the better rows...

Just saw a FB post and apparently My Flights is again available on the App Store and free. Grab it quick while it's there...

Thanks for the information, kevrosmith.

I've been checking for the app every 2-3 days, most recently last night, and hadn't seen any more updates. Downloaded this morning, so all's good. :)
