So I will hit 450 by Christmas but be one QF segment short. Am planning to go a US run early next year using AA P and FJ J fares. Was initially planning to fly QF MEL-SYD and then FJ SYD-NAN to get the 4th ~ but also since the scheduling was better. However, I may be changing dates in which case it might be cheaper and more convenient to buy the Air Pacific MEL-NAN flight on QF website with QF flight number. Would that satisfy the 4 QF segment requirement? The difference is only 5 less SCs and probably similar price, but more convenient. I should comfortably make 1,400 with US runs so I'm not worried, but just want to check that QF number on FJ metal is OK.

See T&C of QFF. Indicates that will be fine (as I suspected it would)

20.1.5 The travel required in each Membership Year to attain or retain Silver, Gold or Platinum status level must include a minimum of four Eligible Flight Segments where Qantas, QantasLink or a Jetstar Airline is the Marketing Carrier.
