Looks as though EK409 is scheduled to fly on 8/5/26 ….unfortunately the A380 has been swapped out for a 777. A bit disappointing as we will never get first class again, this is an awards flight. Can anyone tell me what to expect on the 777 in first class. Far as I can see all that is missing in the bar and shower.

I was watching flight radar myself a number of flights are cancelled / diverted while missiles were being lobbed around.
UAE moving back to remote learning for schools….

I think you’d have to be crazy to be booking flights via the ME at the moment.

Isn’t that the whole point? they stopped flights while there was a danger?

Plenty of people are who are not crazy.

Guessing something has happened as lots of delays and some cancellations at DXB this morning.
Drones hit UAE oil storage facility between Monday and Tuesday Australian time. There's lots of other flare ups. I'm guessing UAE didn't want to push any luck since we currently don't know whats a valid target again.

The area is so volatile anything could happen…

There was a Qatar email address someone posted a few weeks ago to contact them about EU261, unfortunately that email box no longer works, you just get an auto-reply saying to contact live chat.

I did that about eu261, and they said to submit the feedback form. I did that, and got this response, which seems automated or a template at least:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your experience with the flight cancellation and re-routing. We understand how challenging and frustrating such disruptions can be, and we appreciate you sharing your concerns.

While we strive to operate all flights as scheduled, there are occasions when cancellations or changes become necessary due to circumstances beyond our control. Passenger and crew safety remains our highest priority, and we operate flights only when it is safe to do so. We appreciate your understanding in this regard.

We acknowledge your concerns about the re-routing and the expenses incurred. Please be assured that Qatar Airways is committed to providing a high standard of service and support to our customers during such events. We encourage you to keep an eye on official communications through our website and app for any updates related to your travel.

Thank you for sharing your feedback with us. Qatar Airways looks forward to welcoming you on board again in the near future under pleasant circumstances.

Kind Regards,
Qatar Airways Customer Care

I replied saying no, they need to actually compensate me...

So it seems like this is much harder to do now already, poor show.
