Another escalation, Qatar's largest LNG plant in Ras Laffan has come under attack from Iran and suffered "extensivel" damage. This is a significant amount of Qatar's income being targeted.
If Qatar retaliates, we probably won't see DOH with any amount of safety for the rest of the war.
Or Qantas! I’d love to see that! Why don't they lease it to someone else such as Cathay Pacific?

So much for Qatar being Iran's ally. (The entire reason for the Saudi led blockade on Qatar a few years ago)Another escalation, Qatar's largest LNG plant in Ras Laffan has come under attack from Iran and suffered "extensive" damage. This is a significant amount of Qatar's income being targeted.

Biggest US military base in the ME in Qatar and Iran obviously feels that Qatar is with the US.So much for Qatar being Iran's ally. (The entire reason for the Saudi led blockade on Qatar a few years ago)
There's a Qatar plane sitting at Canberra Airport. I presume it's been there since the start (I was in Ireland, so I don't know!).View attachment 500792
This is NOT a good sign for everyone with upcoming QR trips (such as me)
I once had a very very long and bumpy approach to a stormy Broome airport, only for the pilot to eventually tell us that the storm had suddenly extinguished the airport lights, and rather than waiting for them to come back on and potentially run out of fuel, we'd be landing at Port Hedland. I'm not sure if we refuelled there, but we later the same night flew back to Broome. To find EVERYTHING closed because of the power outage. Not even a cold drink to be found...Well… pax knew the risk of that before boarding their flight. So it would hardly be a surprise. And I guess you are thankful that you are flying around out of harms way?
The one at ADL that’s been here for about 3 weeks finally went home yesterdayThere's a Qatar plane sitting at Canberra Airport. I presume it's been there since the start (I was in Ireland, so I don't know!).
With passengers on board, or just repositioning? The one at ADL that’s been here for about 3 weeks finally went home yesterday
No passengers. With passengers on board, or just repositioning?
