Just got the following email from MH announcing the launch of their new mobile website:

Carry Malaysia Airlines in your pocket with MHmobile

Now Malaysia Airlines is more accessible to you at any time and any location around the world with MHmobile. All you need is a mobile phone with a web access and you’re ready to book, share and fly on the go. Try it now at flymas.mobi.

Key features on the new mobile site include:

  • Straight mobile website, no apps to download;
  • Full booking, itinerary, and check-in inc. e-boarding pass with 2D barcode;
  • Flight status and timetabling;
  • Baggage tracer; and
  • Deals and offers.
The site is also location aware, using geolocation techniques to pre-fill information and offer the user the most relevant options. They're also trumpeting direct integration to TripIt, Dopplr and twitter.

Seems like a good evolution of mobile sites for airlines, however I can't access the site to test it out as it looks like its under heavy load.

Re: MH - new mobile website: e-boarding pass, bag tracer, geolocation and social netw

That's a great improvement, previously you can't view your booking anywhere, even in their own main wesbite,

now you can at least view your booking in the mobile site...:)
