Malaysia Airlines to Codeshare with Qantas ... finally!

Announced yesterday that QF and MH are finally codesharing for flights between Australia and Mslaysia!! This also comes in line with the improved SC earn flying MH and now we're able to earn full SCs on the QF codeshares! I'm surprised it happened so quickly, but I knew this was the most logical option for QF passengers following the demise of Jetstar Asia and the loss of OneWorld intra-Asia connectivity.

Today Qantas is going to launch a codeshare agreement with MH. Will cover some of those gaps that 3K have left.

‌From today Qantas customers can book codeshare flights operated by Malaysia Airlines from Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney to Kuala Lumpur, with onward connections to Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. ‌

‌Codeshare flights will be available to book from today for travel from 26 October 2025.

This is a long overdue move, especially when one remembers that QF sponsored MH into oneworld.

With the neo slated for ADL services and revised earn they should get a bit more business in ADL.

I guess we will see in time whether prices get better but geez there is a fair gap currently and QF still try and push you to their metal via SIN with the pricing
