just been on hold for the last 90mins to QF, just wanted to ask a simple question regarding if I can merge 2 separate flight credits for use on a single booking, I tried online but appeared to be able to only use one credit. any help as always is gratefully appreciated

It used to be if you have a flight that you want to change you should be able to combine up to 4 credits into a single booking. There may be updates due to Covid to user credits as QF were pushing these over refunds.

thanks for the info, I'm presuming this needs to be done on the phone?

Yes, I have always had to contact QFF. Some agents are not familiar with combining vouchers so if you get the run around ask them to check with their supervisor.

My issue is that I bought 4 tickets for my self & 3 of my children. When I received a flight credit the money is distributed as a flight credit to each person. So even though I am the financial provider I can't use all the credit (my money) to rebook tickets for myself!

I've had the reverse problem in that I have a single voucher/credit (which I bought with cash - not even a cancelled flight in my case), which I cannot use to book flights for myself and my partner. It's a really frustrating system - they need to change it to a simple gift card/stored value system that is not connected to a booking reference. If Qantas made it easier to spend their credits, I think they'd find people would actually do so and they'd release these liabilities as well as get people flying again and thus making more cash bookings going forward. Instead the hassle makes it easier just to stay home for now...
