Hi Everyone,
I am a new member as from today. I hope you can help me.
I have currently quite a number of points linked to my American Express Card. I am cancelling this card because of the high fees and am going to another form of A/Express which is more rewarding and with lower fees.
When I cancell I must nominate where I want to put my points otherwise
they will lapse and I will loose them. I will not put them in QFF as I already have a number there and I feel they are being devalued at an allarming rate due to the changes they have made recently. e.g. with the introduction of fly amytime ( yes at three time the points) as the standard FF is never available on O.S. trips. Please can anyone help whith airlines that fly out of Aus. Thankyou

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

if you are taking out a new (different) American Express card you should be able to retain the same Membership Rewards account and hence retain the points in Membership Rewards. This of course assumes your new card will be eligible for the same Membership rewards program (i.e. Ascent) as your old one.

Otherwise some choice may be to transfer to:

  • Virgin Blue Velocity
  • Singapore Airlines Krisflyer
  • Starwood Preferred Guest

It really depends on what type of reward you are seeking. You could also use them for gift vouchers.
