My status year ends in February and checking the app it now has a message “You need 1200 status credits before 27th February 2021”

I’m wondering is this normal for it to state the day before month end? Or is it a leap year miscalculation?

This would line up with the miscalculation for the previous membership year I noted that suggested my year ended on the 28th Feb, and not the 29th. I'm guessing QF status runs exactly to 365 days and thus the reason we have lost an extra day for the next membership year. We must have somehow started on the 29th Feb ;)

This situation has been around since forever it feels like. My membership year ends in a month with 31 days but the website and app state I have to achieve my SCs by the 30th.

I’ve sent feedback about this several times.

Inconsistent with the terms and conditions which clearly say your year ends on the last day of the anniversary month. So for people joining in Feb that is either 28th or 29th depending on the year.

'Membership Year' commences on the first day of the month following a Member's Anniversary Month and concludes on the last day of the Member's Anniversary Month the following year;

'Anniversary Month' is the month during which a Member joined Qantas Frequent Flyer, irrespective of the year;
