Hello Everyone, I am planning to go to Darwin in Mid September for 1 week.

I will come back to Melbourne approx 1-1.5 week before the school holiday starts.

When is the best time to book the flight?

Atm the flight is about AUD 165 to Darwin and AUD 179 back to Melbourne.

Are they the good deals already? Should I wait til the sale come up?

Is it hard to book the flight to Darwin in September?

Thank you everyone.

Thats a very good price, typically it doesn't get much better than that.

THat is the typical jetstar price, Qantas is normally $330 Red e deal

Welcome to AFF sunlisa. I'm looking forward to reading a trip report.

Flew that mid jan with DJ.
iirc 129 both ways.

But that was with tiger being priced at like 110, now that they are gone prices aren't probably going to be much lower unfortunately :(

One thing tiger is good for .. keeping the airfare honest.

Thank you for the reply!
It looks like I will need to book now :(
It's kinda sad when I got the deal from Darwin to Bali at AUD 135 return.
Why Domestic airticket is more expensive than internationals?

Welcome to the weird and wacky world of airfares and supply/demand! Anything under $200 is good for DRW and DJ do have the nice late afternoon departure as opposed to the early AM offerings which seem to be the norm.

You dont mention accommodation but if not booked then book it ASAP, in the dry a pretty ordinary room can go as high as $400 close to your time of travel.
