Hello All:)

I intend to fly Melb to Birmingham in July 2011 and wish to ask a question.

On two occasions this year I have been to Zurich and Birmingham on business (both cattle class). I flew with Emirates and it was the worst long haul flight I have experienced, simply because of the tightness of the seating and the fact that they have removed the foot rests, big mistake. Also the cabin staff were very "whatever" in their attitude.

I have flown Emirates before to the UK in 2009 and 2006, and I can assure you their standards have slipped alarmingly.

Anyway, back to my question:p.... Emirates fly to Birmingham I know, but can anyone recommend another carrier to take me there from Melb, or some alternative suggestion.

It's just that you certainly will not get me to fly Emirates again.............rant over!

Any help would be appreciated.

Airline travel is an interesting thing, frequently many will rave about an airline while others have horror experiences. Having flown Emirates a couple of time recently, its been the Dubai experience that has put me off, but not the flight.

So to options:

One: avoid like the plague flying through LHR, especially Term 5 which is manned (womaned) by total coughholes who beileve the trvalling public owe them a living.
Two: Don't fly BA
Three: Try any airline bar BA that links to Birmingham from continental European airports like Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Coipenhagen etc.
