Hiya,

I have booked PER-MEL-AUH-CMN return on EY codes, the times are a little awkward arriving at MEL at 22:20 and leaving at 05:00. I have lounge access either with Etihad via status match or Virgin Plat. but it appears the Etihad/Aspire Lounge is closed from 00:45 to 05:30 making it rather awkward. does anyone know if I can go through immigration before midnight, have something to eat and a shower, then have a nap somewhere airside? or will i need to wait until 3 hours before the flight to pass immigration. I guess thats also assuming they can issue all the boarding passes in Perth.

Cheers.

You can go through Immigration anytime it is open. Just don't expect to come back landslide (its possible but a hassle).

If you look at MEL T2 international departures you can see there are early am departures. (move the departure time slider).
Sample for 07/03/25 YJ 01:30, EK 03:25. So immigration - security will be open, but may be time limited

.

You can go landslide (to get to a hotel for example), and then clear custom early morning to catch your flight. MEL does not have a curfew and there are usually flights in un-Godly hours, so immigration is usually open 24/7.
