Melbourne drinks 24 April 2010

I am thinking of spending Saturday 24 April 2010 and Sunday 25 April 2010 in Melbourne. I propose drinks for the Saturday night. Venue to be decided.

Is anyone interested in attending? Somewhere not too expensive would be desirable but not a necessity. There will be some status runners (anat0l, Bundy Bear, samh004, serfty) down there already who may be interested. Any locals? Suggestions?

I have found some cheap return TT flights from SYD for $122 and accommodation at the Hilton on the Park for $99 using HPC great rate card but would need to book sooner rather later as availability is not likely to last.

As I posted in the ANZAC thread I’m sure something could be arranged, and might already be on the cards.

I know that same night STK are playing an away game, so munitalP might turn up if the bar has good coverage of the game I guess? I’d be looking for coverage too I must admit.

We already have a commitment that night to see a show.

Hmmm.... Not looking good so far. There is a "maybe" and 3 "no chances".

And as we are already having Brisbane drinks on 21 April there is no point in the same people having Melbourne drinks as well. Plus Anat0l, Bundy Bear and samh004 may want to enjoy their executive lounge access at Hilton South Wharf.

So how about a hit and run trip on the Sunday? Save on Saturday night accommodation but is Tiger up to challenge of getting me there and back on the same day?

I guess this event is not likely to happen due to lack of interest and I will be in Melbourne for 25 April only....
